- Click the New Email button.
- In the text box where you would put the recipient’s email address, enter the following in the “To” section of your email:
- To place a local fax:
- fax=7TheFaxNumber@fax.indianriverschools.org
- A local fax to number 555-1234 would look like fax=75551234@fax.indianriverschools.org
- To place a long distance fax:
- fax=71AreaCodeTheFaxNumber@fax.indianriverschools.org
- If you want to send a long distance fax, you do not need to put in your long distance code (but you do need to include the 7 and the 1). A long distance fax to 888-555-1234 would look like fax=718885551234@fax.indianriverschools.org
- (Optional) You can use the “Subject” field to enter the name of the person the fax is going to.
- (Optional) Attach the document you wish to fax (Word or PDF). Note: Anything you type in the body of the email is part of the subject of the FAX cover page. Your attachments are the FAX.
- When you are done typing and attaching files, click the Send button.
After a few moments you should receive an email confirmation that your fax has sent and a copy of your fax.
