Issue/Question
- How to I use InformaCast to update my school bells
Resolution
The InformaCast Fusion bell scheduler system allows staff to create and change school bells. For example, regular schedule, early release, and state testing are three popular schedules set up by schools.
To manage these schedules, you will need an InformaCast Fusion account to update your school's bells. All school principals and assistant principals have proactivity been setup in the system with access to change bells at their school. If you do not have a login, please ask your school administration to submit the request to have your account access updated to include bell editor for your school.
- Plan your bell schedules.
- To login, go to: https://admin.icmobile.singlewire.com/ (Detailed login directions can be found here)
- Under "Notifications | Bell Schedules" in the left navigation menu, there are two options "Edit Ring Lists" and "Edit Bell Schedules". Each school will contain one schedule and at least one ring list; however, a school may have multiple ring lists. A ring list can be thought of a 24 hour day, while a schedule is more like a calendar.
- Ring Lists are Time Driven (Time, Ring Tone, Recipients) for Regular Day, Half Day, Exam Day, etc.
- The "Ring Lists" define time, sound/tone, and where ring tones will play on a single day. Typical uses for separate ring lists are: regular, early release, or testing days. When editing a ring list, you can create and many row as need. Each row contain the time which the bell tone rings. For detailed information, go to the "Manage Ring Lists".
- Schedules are Date Driven (Start/End Dates for Daily Ring Lists and Weekly Patterns)
- The "Schedule" control the day ring lists are used on specific day calendar dates. A school should only need one schedule. The bell schedule will control which ring list in used on a specific day calendar dates. For detailed information, go to the "Manage Schedules".
- Exceptions (Holidays, In-service Days, Closings, etc.) to individual schedules
- The "Exceptions", which can also be viewed and edited on the bell schedule
- Ring Lists are Time Driven (Time, Ring Tone, Recipients) for Regular Day, Half Day, Exam Day, etc.
