A voicemail greeting is a recording that informs the caller that you are not available to receive their call. After the greeting, the caller will be given the option to leave a message. Below is an example of a voicemail greeting and directions on how to create your own custom greeting using the Cisco Unity voicemail system.
Example Greeting:
Example: Hi, you've reached [you name] at [school name]. I'm sorry that I'm not available to answer your call at the present time. Please leave your name, number, and a quick message at the tone.
How to Record a Voicemail Greeting (On Assigned Desk Phone)
- Call in to the voicemail system by pressing the voicemail button on your phone or by dialing 3030.
- Enter your PIN
- Press Option 4 to go to setup options
- Press Option 1 to change your voicemail greeting
- Press Option 1 - Re-record Standard Getting
- Record Message - Press # when done recording
How to Record a Voicemail Greeting (Off-Campus (At home/mobile))
- Call in to the voicemail system by dialing (772) 564-3030.
- Press * followed by your extension number
- Enter your PIN
- Press 4 to go to setup options
- Press 1 to change your voicemail greeting
- Press Option 1 - Re-record Standard Getting
- Record Message - Press # when done recording
