Connecting to SDIRC_BYOD (Chromebook)

Summary:

The SDIRC_BYOD wireless network requires the proper settings to be entered including an active district username and password to connect to the network. Wireless settings will need to be updated any time your password is changed. The detailed directions below may differ based on your version of ChromeOS.

  1. EAP Method: PEAP
  2. EAP Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
  3. CA Certificate: Do not check
  4. Identity: Enter your district username in this field
  5. Password: Enter your district password
    Anonymous Identity: (leave blank)
  6. Press "Connect"

Detailed Directions:

  • On the left hand of the shelf, click on Wifi mceclip2.png icon.mceclip1.png
  • Click on "Not connected" mceclip2.png

  • Select SDIRC_BYOD from the list of options.

  • Fill out the required fields, and press "Connect".
      1. EAP Method: PEAP

  • Click on the "Connect" button.

  • You now should be connected to the Bring Your Own Device Wireless Network.
